Synopsis:

Stephen Covey's 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE has proven itself to be an enduring work, with relevance far beyond the self-help category. In THE 8TH HABIT, Covey builds on his earlier work and offers lessons in leadership for what he sees as the new age of the "knowledge worker." In This paradigmatic shift in how we see and talk about workers and organizations, Covey addresses the individual's need for fulfillment, and he offers specific ways leaders can "develop their own voice and then help others develop theirs." Covey offers practical ways to motivate and inspire and to recognize the laws of business and society. The goal is to help people grow, and for organizations to get real results. As usual, what Covey has to say about business applies across the board to all organizations--the family, schools, government, etc.

Author Bio:

Covey received an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1957. He received a doctorate from Brigham Young University, where he became a professor and held administrative posts. He is the co-founder of Franklin Covey, a management consulting firm that provides speakers to organizations. He has been the recipient of many honors and awards, including being named by "Time" magazine as one of the 25 most influential Americans.
