Karen Kingsbury is one of America’s bestselling inspirational authors. She’s the author of more than 40 novels and the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2007 Evangelical Book of the Year for her novel, Ever After. This was the first time that award was ever presented to a work of fiction and the first time it was ever given to a woman.

After receiving her B.A. in Journalism from California State University, Northridge, in 1986, she worked as a sportswriter for the Los Angeles Times and the L.A. Daily News. Her first book, Missy’s Murder, was based on her article published in People Magazine. She wrote three other True Crime books before transitioning to inspirational fiction in 1998.

A popular speaker at women’s groups around the country, Kingsbury lives in Washington state with her husband, Don, and their six children.
