A Thief Among Dragons

Six of Crows meets A Language of Dragons in the first book in an unmissable romantic fantasy duology—a dragon-filled, heist-fueled, found-family epic from debut author A.M. Croll. Five thieves. Forty-four dragons. One daring heist. What could go wrong? Heron, a master criminal, is tormented by the voices of dragons. It’s been his life's mission to rescue them from captivity, and now he’s preparing for the biggest heist of all—to steal the king’s own horde. He’s assembled the perfect crew: a brilliant farmer passionate about the environment, a runaway noble lady harboring all the castle’s secrets, and a knight who’s convinced Heron is the messiah. But he needs one more person. Kit swore off heists the day Heron shattered her life. She's fine with picking pockets. She is not fine with the boy who broke their friendship—and her heart. But when the king’s spymaster offers a deal she can’t refuse, at the price of betraying Heron, Kit finds herself back beside the thief who ruined everything. Except he’s not quite the villain she remembers. Amid deep-rooted hatred, intense yearning, and deadly stakes, the crew must work together to pull off a heist bigger than fate. But what will be left when the flames die down? Perfect for readers who love: Friends to enemies to lovers Second-chance romance Dragons, dragons, dragons!
